H-1B1 Chile Visa Operations Manager Jobs
Operations Manager jobs with H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship are open to Chilean nationals under the U.S.-Chile Free Trade Agreement, with no lottery and a 1,400-visa annual cap that rarely fills. Employers file directly with the consulate, making the path from offer to approval faster and more predictable than the H-1B visa route.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as an Operations Manager
Align your degree to operations roles
The H-1B1 visa requires a specialty occupation, so your credential must directly support operations management. A degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or supply chain strengthens your case far more than a general management background.
Search DOL LCA data for active sponsors
Employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for operations roles have already cleared the DOL's prevailing-wage certification step. Filtering for those filings on Migrate Mate narrows your target list to companies with a documented H-1B1 sponsorship track record.
Verify your wage offer against OFLC Wage Search
Before accepting an offer, run the SOC code for operations managers through the OFLC Wage Search to confirm your offered salary meets or exceeds the prevailing wage for that metro area. A shortfall triggers an LCA rejection before you even reach the consulate.
Prioritize employers already enrolled in E-Verify
E-Verify enrollment isn't required for every H-1B1 employer, but companies already in the system have smoother I-9 onboarding and are more familiar with nonimmigrant work authorization. Ask HR about their verification process before signing an offer letter.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation early
Consular officers scrutinize whether an operations manager role genuinely requires a specialized degree. Bring the job description, your employer's org chart showing where the role sits, and your official transcripts to demonstrate the degree-to-role connection at your visa interview.
Understand the annual renewal cycle for planning
H-1B1 Chile status is granted in one-year increments and must be renewed each year, unlike the H-1B's three-year initial period. Coordinate with your employer's HR team at least 90 days before your I-94 expiration to avoid a gap in work authorization.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Operations Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation under the H-1B1?
Yes, if the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business administration. A generalist role that accepts any degree regardless of field may not qualify. The O*NET occupation profile for operations managers lists a typical education requirement of a bachelor's degree, which supports the specialty occupation argument when the job description reinforces it.
How does the H-1B1 Chile visa compare to the H-1B for Operations Manager roles?
The H-1B1 skips the lottery entirely, which means a qualifying Operations Manager job offer can move directly to consular processing without waiting for an annual random selection. The tradeoff is that H-1B1 status renews annually rather than in three-year blocks, and it doesn't carry dual intent, so green card planning requires more careful timing than it does under the H-1B.
How do I find U.S. employers willing to sponsor an H-1B1 Chile visa for an Operations Manager?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified LCA filing history, so you can identify employers who have already navigated the DOL Labor Condition Application process for operations roles. That filing record signals both sponsorship willingness and familiarity with the H-1B1 pathway, which reduces the risk of an employer backing out late in the process.
What documents should I bring to a consular interview for an Operations Manager H-1B1 application?
Bring your certified LCA, the DS-160 confirmation, your passport, the employer's offer letter specifying your title and compensation, your academic transcripts and degree certificate, and a detailed job description. If your degree field isn't an obvious match for operations management, include documentation showing how your coursework supports the role's technical requirements.
Can I change employers while on H-1B1 Chile status as an Operations Manager?
Yes, but there's no H-1B1 portability equivalent. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need to return to a U.S. consulate for a new visa stamp before you can begin work. Timing that process around your current I-94 expiration date is critical, especially if the transition happens close to your annual renewal window.
