H-1B1 Chile Visa Production Supervisor Jobs
H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship for Production Supervisor roles is available to Chilean nationals without a lottery or USCIS petition. Translate your credentials into U.S. framing
Chilean production certifications and technical diplomas don't always map cleanly to U.S. job requirements. Get an official credential evaluation from a NACES-accredited agency before applying so employers can verify your qualifications without guesswork.
Verify your role qualifies as specialty occupation
Production Supervisor must require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field to qualify for H-1B1 visa. Check the O*NET occupation profile for Job Zone classification and typical education requirements before targeting employers.
Search for employers using Migrate Mate
Filter by H-1B1 Chile sponsorship history on Migrate Mate to identify manufacturers and operations companies that have successfully filed Labor Condition Applications for supervisory roles before, reducing the risk of approaching employers unfamiliar with the process.
Prioritize employers already enrolled in E-Verify
E-Verify enrollment signals an employer with active immigration compliance infrastructure. For H-1B1 Chile hires, this often means faster internal approvals, since HR already understands DOL requirements and LCA posting obligations.
Negotiate offer timing around the LCA filing window
Your employer must file and receive a certified LCA from DOL before your consulate appointment. Build at least three weeks of LCA processing time into your start date negotiations so your interview isn't delayed by a certification that isn't yet in hand.
Use the OFLC Wage Search to benchmark your offer
The H-1B1 Chile visa requires your offered wage to meet or exceed the prevailing wage for Production Supervisor in your work location. Run your job title and zip code through the OFLC Wage Search to confirm compliance before signing an offer letter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Production Supervisor role qualify for the H-1B1 Chile visa?
It depends on how the employer defines the position. H-1B1 requires the role to be a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. A production supervisor role tied to engineering, industrial management, or operations management is more likely to qualify than a general floor supervisor position with no degree requirement.
How does the H-1B1 Chile visa differ from the H-1B for Production Supervisor jobs?
The H-1B1 Chile visa has no lottery, no USCIS petition, and a dedicated annual cap of 1,400 visas that has never been exhausted. You apply directly at a U.S. consulate in Chile after your employer files a certified LCA with DOL. The H-1B requires a lottery selection, USCIS adjudication, and has far more competition for the same roles.
How do I find employers who have sponsored H-1B1 Chile visas for supervisory roles?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by H-1B1 Chile sponsorship history, so you can identify manufacturing and operations employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for production and supervisory roles. This narrows your search to companies already familiar with the visa process rather than those that may hesitate due to unfamiliarity.
What happens if my employer has never sponsored an H-1B1 Chile visa before?
Employers don't need prior H-1B1 experience to sponsor you, but they do need to file an LCA with DOL and meet prevailing wage requirements for your location and job title. Many mid-size manufacturers haven't sponsored H-1B1 specifically but have existing immigration counsel and LCA infrastructure from prior H-1B filings, which transfers directly.
Can I transfer my H-1B1 Chile visa to a new employer if I change Production Supervisor jobs?
Yes, but your new employer must file a new LCA and obtain certification from DOL before you begin work. The H-1B1 is employer-specific, so you can't simply transfer it. You'll need a new consulate appointment in Chile if your current visa stamp has expired, or your employer may be able to file for a change of employer while you remain in status in the U.S.
