H-1B1 Chile Visa Private Client Advisor Jobs
H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship lets Chilean nationals step into Private Client Advisor roles at U.S. wealth management firms without entering a lottery. The 1,400-visa annual cap rarely fills, and your application goes directly to a consulate, so timelines are faster than H-1B visa. Your finance degree and client relationship background are the core eligibility anchors.

Match your degree field to the role
Private Client Advisor roles require a specialty occupation tie between your degree and the position. A finance, economics, or business administration degree maps cleanly. A general arts degree needs a transcript review showing coursework concentration in financial analysis or investments.
Verify your employer's prevailing wage filing
Before accepting an offer, check that the compensation meets DOL standards for your metro area. Run the job title and location through the OFLC Wage Search to confirm you're being offered at least the Level I prevailing wage for financial advisors.
Target wealth managers with prior H-1B1 Chile filings
Use Migrate Mate to filter for firms that have sponsored Chilean professionals before. Employers already familiar with H-1B1 Chile LCA requirements move faster and are less likely to stall on the offer because of unfamiliar paperwork.
Prepare a FINRA exam equivalency strategy early
U.S. broker-dealers often require Series 65 or Series 7 licenses before client-facing work. Chilean professionals typically can't sit these exams without a sponsor. Confirm with your prospective employer whether they'll support licensing under H-1B1 visa status before you sign.
Get your credentials evaluated before the consular interview
Chilean licenciatura degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's, but a consular officer may request a third-party credential evaluation. Have a NACES-member evaluation completed so you're not delaying your visa stamp over a document gap.
Build your offer letter around LCA-required language
Your employer's offer letter and the certified LCA must align on job title, worksite location, and employment dates. Ask HR to cross-check both documents before your DS-160 appointment, since a mismatch between the two is a common consular denial trigger.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Private Client Advisor role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B1 Chile?
Yes, Private Client Advisor positions typically qualify because they require applying theoretical financial knowledge, which normally demands at least a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. The employer confirms the specialty occupation requirement when it files the Labor Condition Application with DOL. Roles that accept any degree regardless of field are harder to qualify, so job description language matters.
How does H-1B1 Chile compare to H-1B for landing a Private Client Advisor job?
H-1B1 Chile skips the lottery entirely, which means a qualifying offer converts to a visa without waiting for an annual random draw. The 1,400-visa cap for Chilean nationals has never been exhausted, so availability isn't a constraint. Processing happens at the consulate rather than through USCIS, which shortens the timeline. The trade-off is that H-1B1 Chile doesn't allow dual intent, so it requires stronger nonimmigrant intent documentation at your interview.
Where can I find Private Client Advisor jobs with H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended tool for finding employers with verified H-1B1 Chile sponsorship history in financial services. General job boards don't filter by visa type or LCA filing history, so you waste time applying to firms that have never sponsored Chilean professionals. Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have already navigated the H-1B1 Chile process.
Can I switch employers while on H-1B1 Chile status as a Private Client Advisor?
Yes, but the new employer must file a fresh LCA and obtain certification before you begin work. H-1B1 Chile doesn't have the H-1B portability rule that lets you start with a new employer after a petition is filed. You'll also need to apply for a new H-1B1 Chile visa stamp at the consulate if you travel internationally after the employer change.
What documents does a Chilean Private Client Advisor need for the consular interview?
You'll need the certified LCA from DOL, a detailed offer letter matching the LCA's job title and worksite, your original academic transcripts and degree certificate, a credential evaluation if your licenciatura is being assessed for U.S. equivalency, and the DS-160 confirmation with your visa fee receipt. Consular officers commonly ask for proof that your degree field directly relates to the advisory work described in the LCA.
