Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as a Supply Chain Manager
Verify your degree field matches the role
H-1B1 visa requires a degree directly related to the specialty occupation. A logistics, industrial engineering, or operations management degree supports Supply Chain Manager applications more cleanly than a general business degree, which may draw consular scrutiny.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's OFLC Wage Search to identify companies that have filed Labor Condition Applications for supply chain and operations roles. Employers already familiar with H-1B1 filings process your paperwork faster and make fewer documentation errors.
Use Migrate Mate to surface H-1B1-ready employers
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified H-1B1 Singapore visa sponsorship history, so you're applying to supply chain roles at employers who have already navigated the consular filing process rather than those encountering it for the first time.
Confirm the LCA wage level matches your experience
DOL's prevailing wage tiers run from Level I to Level IV. Supply Chain Managers with four or more years managing vendors and logistics networks typically qualify for Level II or III, which affects both your negotiating position and the LCA the employer files.
Prepare a specialty occupation justification for your offer letter
Ask your employer to specify in the offer letter that the role requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Consular officers reviewing H-1B1 applications for Supply Chain Manager positions sometimes request this if the job description uses generalist language.
Align your DS-160 role description with the certified LCA
At the consulate interview, officers cross-check your DS-160 job description against the employer's certified LCA. Inconsistent titles or duties between the two documents are a common delay trigger for supply chain candidates interviewing at Singapore's U.S. Embassy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Supply Chain Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the H-1B1 Singapore visa?
Yes, Supply Chain Manager qualifies when the employer's job requirements specify a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations research, or logistics. Generic postings that say 'bachelor's preferred' rather than 'required' can complicate the consular review, so confirming the degree requirement is explicit in your offer letter before the LCA is filed matters.
How does the H-1B1 Singapore visa differ from H-1B for supply chain professionals?
The H-1B visa1 has no lottery and no USCIS petition requirement, so Singaporean supply chain professionals apply directly at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore after the employer files a certified LCA with DOL. H-1B requires an approved I-129 petition and lottery selection before any consular step. The H-1B1 also has a 5,400-visa annual cap that has never been exhausted, meaning timing your application isn't driven by quota pressure the way H-1B registrations are.
How do I find Supply Chain Manager jobs where the employer will sponsor an H-1B1 Singapore visa?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters roles by verified H-1B1 Singapore visa sponsorship history, so you're seeing Supply Chain Manager openings at employers who have already completed the LCA filing process rather than those who would be starting from scratch. Applying to H-1B1-experienced employers meaningfully reduces processing delays and documentation back-and-forth.
What documents should I bring to my H-1B1 visa interview at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore?
Bring your passport, DS-160 confirmation page, the certified LCA from DOL, your employer's offer letter specifying the degree requirement and job duties, your degree certificate and transcripts, and evidence of your work experience such as employment letters or pay stubs. For Supply Chain Manager roles, officers may also ask for documentation linking your degree field to the specific duties in the LCA, so having a brief written summary of that connection is useful preparation.
Can I switch Supply Chain Manager employers while on H-1B1 status in the United States?
Yes, but unlike H-1B portability under AC21, H-1B1 does not allow you to begin working for a new employer simply by filing a new petition. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you must obtain a new H-1B1 visa stamp before starting work, which typically means returning to Singapore for a consulate appointment. Planning job transitions with enough lead time to complete the consular process is essential for maintaining lawful status.
