We are seeking a certified and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to support our on-site Occupational Health Clinic in San Angelo, TX. ⚠️ Please apply only if you are currently located in or near San Angelo, Texas.

Days: Monday-Friday
* Hours: Approximately 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
ABOUT THE ROLE
Under the direction of a Licensed Physician and supervision of a Registered Nurse (OHN), the Certified Medical Assistant will coordinate both administrative and clinical tasks to support daily Occupational Health clinic operations. This role plays a key part in promoting employee health, wellness, and regulatory compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Duties
- Answer phones, greet visitors, manage scheduling, and prepare EMR documentation
- Maintain clinic metrics, budget tracking, and reporting
- Coordinate meetings and support wellness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with privacy, safety, and confidentiality regulations
Clinical Duties
- Perform basic screenings (vital signs, vision, phlebotomy, hearing, spirometry)
- Prepare employees for exams and assist RN/Physician during evaluations
- Provide minor first aid under supervision
- Maintain medical surveillance records
- Support wellness events such as flu clinics and biometric screenings
- Participate in the Emergency Response Team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assisting Certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- CPR/FA/AED certification (required within 90 days of hire)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of healthcare or HR administrative experience
- EMR experience
- Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA
- Experience with Workers’ Compensation
