Healthcare Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a healthcare job in Orlando?
Orlando's largest hiring hubs are the Medical City District in Lake Nona, which anchors a dense cluster of hospitals, research institutes, and specialty clinics, and the Orlando Health and AdventHealth systems citywide. Candidates who hold current Florida licensure, have hands-on experience in high-demand specialties like critical care or emergency medicine, and can demonstrate familiarity with Epic or similar EHR platforms tend to move faster through Orlando's hiring process.
Which companies hire healthcares in Orlando?
Companies currently hiring healthcares in Orlando include Jobot, Aveanna Healthcare, and Turner Construction Company, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Orlando's market is dominated by large integrated health systems alongside a growing number of ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health providers, and specialty outpatient groups tied to the Lake Nona medical campus.
Are there remote healthcare jobs in Orlando?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role, since hands-on clinical positions require on-site presence while health informatics, medical coding, utilization review, and telehealth coordination roles are often fully remote. About 33% of healthcare openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with telehealth and administrative functions accounting for the largest share of those flexible arrangements in the local market.
How can I get a healthcare job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Orlando is a patient care technician or medical assistant role at one of the city's large health systems, which regularly hire candidates with a certificate program and no prior clinical experience. Orlando Health and AdventHealth both run structured new-grad and apprenticeship pipelines, and community health centers in areas like Pine Hills and Parramore often prioritize local candidates for entry-level support roles. Bilingual Spanish speakers have a noticeable edge given the region's patient population.
Which industries hire the most healthcares in Orlando?
The sectors hiring the most healthcares in Orlando are Staffing & Recruiting and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Orlando's position as a regional medical hub, combined with rapid population growth across Orange and Seminole counties, keeps demand elevated across hospital systems, outpatient networks, and the research institutions anchored in the Lake Nona Medical City corridor.
