Hotel Jobs in Charlotte: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a hotel job in Charlotte?
Focus your search on Uptown Charlotte, where the convention center and major business hotels cluster, and on South End and Ballantyne, where extended-stay and boutique properties have expanded alongside corporate relocations. Full-service hotels tied to the convention calendar hire the most, especially for front desk, banquet, and housekeeping roles. Candidates with guest-services experience at any lodging property, even outside Charlotte, stand out, as do those with open availability for weekend and overnight shifts.
Which companies hire hotels in Charlotte?
Employers hiring hotels in Charlotte right now include McKibbon Hospitality, Hilton Home2 Suites, and Hilton, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Charlotte's mix of full-service convention hotels, corporate-branded properties, and independent boutique hotels gives candidates a range of employer types to target depending on their experience level and preferred work environment.
Are there remote hotel jobs in Charlotte?
Yes, though remote hotel work is limited by nature since most roles require on-site guest interaction or facilities management. About 10% of hotel openings tied to Charlotte are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, concentrated in revenue management, corporate sales, and marketing functions. Candidates targeting remote work should focus on regional sales or back-office roles rather than front-of-house positions.
How can I get a hotel job in Charlotte with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Charlotte is applying to full-service Uptown hotels for housekeeping, bell service, or breakfast attendant roles, which routinely hire with no prior lodging experience. Properties near the Charlotte Convention Center also bring on part-time banquet servers and room setup staff around large events, giving newcomers a foot in the door. Completing a basic hospitality customer service course through Central Piedmont Community College strengthens any entry-level application locally.
