Job Overview:

As a Hotel Room Attendant, you’ll help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay for every guest. The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall comfort of guest rooms and assigned hotel areas. You’ll prepare guest rooms and shared areas, use cleaning equipment and products safely, and respond to guest requests with care. This active role involves standing, bending, and manual handling, including lifting supplies as needed. This position ensures that guest rooms are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stocked according to Marriott's brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas according to Marriott cleanliness standards. Attention to Detail is Essential.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and ensure rooms are properly arranged.
• Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, sinks, toilets, and other surfaces.
• Replenish guest room amenities, toiletries, towels, and other supplies.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness, organization, and maintenance standards are met.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged furniture, and malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate department.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for additional towels, toiletries, and other room amenities.
• Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items.
• Respect guest privacy and follow hotel policies regarding occupied rooms and do-not-disturb signs.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, cleaning supplies, and equipment in an organized manner.
• Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Coordinate with housekeeping supervisors and the front desk regarding room status and availability.
• Maintain professional behavior and provide courteous service to hotel guests.
• Provide courteous customer service while respecting guest privacy and hotel housekeeping standards.
• Follow Marriott brand standards, safety regulations, and housekeeping procedures.

Work Environment:

The Hotel Room Attendant works primarily in guest rooms, hallways, and designated hotel areas. The position involves physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing carts, and using cleaning equipment throughout the shift.

The Hotel Room Attendant is expected to:

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience preferred.

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push housekeeping carts, and lift supplies as required.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and sanitation procedures.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
