Mid Level Hse Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level hse manager job?
Position your experience around ownership, not just participation. Highlight programs you led, audits you conducted independently, and incidents you managed from investigation through corrective action. Employers at this level want to see that you can run a safety function, not just support one. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes, such as reduced incident rates or improved compliance scores, rather than listing duties.
Which companies hire mid level hse managers?
Companies hiring mid level hse managers right now include MMR, Rosendin Electric, and Solstice Advanced Materials, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from manufacturers, construction contractors, logistics operators, and energy companies that need experienced safety professionals who can run programs with minimal supervision.
Are there remote mid level hse manager jobs?
Yes, though most hse manager roles at this level involve some on-site presence given the nature of safety work. About 0% of mid level hse manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these tend to sit in corporate safety, compliance consulting, or multi-site program coordination roles where fieldwork is periodic rather than daily.
How do I move up to a mid level hse manager role?
Moving into mid level means demonstrating that you can own a safety function rather than assist with one. Build that case over your first few years by leading audits independently, completing a relevant certification such as a CSP or OSHA 30, and managing at least one significant compliance or incident-response project from start to finish. Employers want to see progressively broader scope and measurable impact in your history.
Which industries hire the most mid level hse managers?
Mid Level hse manager roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Consulting & Professional Services, and Energy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive the most hiring because they operate high-hazard environments, face significant regulatory scrutiny, and need experienced safety professionals who can manage programs across large workforces or complex worksites without constant senior oversight.
