A “Day in the Life” of the HR Manager
The HR Manager is responsible for each area of the human resources function. This includes all aspects of employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, and training and development. The HR Manager partners with the owners and the leadership while executing all areas of HR. It is critical to understand the objectives and risk tolerance of the owners in order to properly operate the HR function.
General Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with the overall business strategy
- Recruit and hire new employees
- Nurture a positive and fun working environment
- Create and oversee all employee performance management systems
- Manage employee relations and compensation and benefits
- Provide training and development opportunities for employees
- Administer employee benefits programs
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
- Manage employee relations and grievances
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Additional related responsibilities and oversight as needed
