Instructor Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a instructor job in Los Angeles?
Start by targeting the sectors that hire most in Los Angeles: K-12 and higher education institutions, corporate learning and development teams, and fitness studios and wellness centers. Jobs concentrate in Westwood near UCLA, the Downtown civic and education corridor, and the Westside tech and entertainment campuses. Candidates who hold subject-matter credentials and can show classroom or facilitation experience in a Los Angeles-relevant specialty move to the top of the list fastest.
Which companies hire instructors in Los Angeles?
Companies currently hiring instructors in Los Angeles include YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, Concorde Education, and Management & Training Corporation, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Los Angeles employers range from major universities and community college districts to entertainment studios with in-house training programs and large fitness and wellness chains with multiple city locations.
Are there remote instructor jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the specialty: hands-on roles like fitness instruction and lab-based teaching are almost entirely on-site, while corporate training, e-learning design, and tutoring roles run remote or hybrid far more often. About 0% of instructor openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. In Los Angeles, the entertainment and tech sectors account for the largest share of remote instructor and training roles.
How can I get a instructor job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is community college or adult education, where LACCD campuses and continuing education programs regularly hire part-time or adjunct instructors without extensive prior classroom experience. Fitness studios, after-school enrichment programs, and corporate onboarding teams in the Westside tech corridor also hire entry-level facilitators. Building a portfolio of guest lectures, workshops, or volunteer instruction with a Los Angeles nonprofit or community organization can substitute for formal teaching history.
Which industries hire the most instructors in Los Angeles?

Los Angeles's scale as a media and entertainment hub, combined with one of the largest public university and community college systems in the country, creates consistent and layered demand for instructors well beyond traditional K-12 roles.
