Weeknight & Weekends, Red Cross Instructor
(If current HSI or AHA instructor, will need to complete a free bridge program before being considered. Must have all training equipment (preferred) 2 sets of CPR Manikins & AED Trainers.)

Compensation

• $225 minimum pay per day

Job Overview
As a CPR Instructor, you'll lead engaging, practical classes that help learners build confidence responding to emergencies. You'll teach cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED) operation, and first aid, adapting lessons for adult learners and varied experience levels. Your impact: Clear instruction and realistic practice help participants respond more effectively and support people in an emergency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training in CPR, basic life support (BLS), AED operation, and first aid, as applicable to your qualifications.
• Plan lessons, explain first aid protocols, demonstrate techniques, and guide hands-on practice.
• Set up and use first aid simulation dummies and emergency defibrillation trainers; keep practice activities organized and safe.
• Use adult education methods, teaching skills, and public speaking to encourage participation and check learner understanding.
• Communicate clearly with participants and adapt instruction to classroom or swimming and lifeguard settings when relevant.

Experience

• Required: ARC Instructor Certification (able to bridge from AHA or HSI for free)
• Required: Training equipment required for 12 people
• Required: Strong communication skills and the ability to teach practical skills clearly.
• Preferred: Adult education teaching experience, classroom experience, or other teaching experience.
• Preferred: Experience with CPR and AED training instruction, BLS, and first aid instruction.
• Preferred: Familiarity with first aid protocols, lesson planning, simulation dummies, and emergency defibrillation trainers.

Pay: From $37.50 per hour
