How do I get an insurance job in St. Louis?
The strongest entry points in St. Louis are the large regional carriers headquartered in Clayton and downtown, the health insurance operations tied to the city's major hospital networks, and the commercial lines teams at independent agencies serving the manufacturing and logistics sectors. Candidates who combine a relevant license with experience in underwriting, claims, or benefits administration stand out most in this market.
Which companies hire insurance professionals in St. Louis?
St. Louis insurance roles are posted by State Farm, Farmers Insurance 1475, and Information Providers and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The local market includes a mix of national carriers with regional operations, health-focused insurers tied to the area's large medical campuses, and independent agencies serving commercial and personal lines clients throughout the metro.
Are there remote insurance jobs in St. Louis?

Claims review, underwriting support, and policy servicing roles see the most remote options locally.
How can I get an insurance job in St. Louis with little or no experience?

Independent agencies serving the metro's construction and manufacturing base also hire entry-level producers and account assistants. Earning a Property and Casualty or Life and Health license before applying gives candidates a clear edge over unlicensed applicants in this market.
