What The Role Is
Reporting to the Operations IT Systems Architect, the IT Systems Specialist designs, implements, administers, and supports Clearway's Operational IT systems. Responsibilities include collaborating with business stakeholders to enhance existing systems and contributing to the team's and organization's continuous improvement goals.

What You'll Be Doing
- Participate in the implementation of technical solutions for Business Operations.
- Coordinate to identify, prioritize, and manage Operations IT projects and technology tasks within enterprise data historian, reporting, business intelligence, generation management (GMS), market integration, and settlements systems.
- Develop procedures, processes, and applications necessary to provide safe and secure operations systems that meet reliability regulatory standards.
- Proactively identify business process gaps, document findings, and drive improvements through implementation.
- Provide "real-time" support for System Operators, Generation Dispatch, and Power Marketing personnel.
- Effectively apply appropriate project and development methodology and follow project and development standards.
- Minimize and manage exposure and risk on project and production tasks.
- Maintain appropriate status reports, meeting minutes, and follow up with business partners, vendors, and internal resources.
- Participate in a 24x7 weekly on-call rotation for production support up to one week per month.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years).
- Must have knowledge of interfaces, integrations, and process flows.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and experience in adopting and working in multiple project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA/DA), or SCADA/EMS historian integration in wind, solar, or energy storage systems
- Intermediate level skills in implementing, supporting, enhancing, and maintaining complex, large-scale production critical applications in Cloud and data center hosted environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills with a strong focus on customer interaction, customer service, and presentation.
- A motivated self-starter with the capability to operate on their own with little direction and/or monitoring.
- Capability to help deliver quality business solutions within restricted timelines while appropriately communicating/escalating risks, issues, or constraints as necessary to business and/or IT management.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, business partners, and other departments.
- Ability to effectively prioritize with organizational skills to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
What Would Be Nice
- 1+ year of systems and applications development, configuration, implementation, and support experience.
- 1+ year experience with an array of technologies, including Microsoft technology stack, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, MS SQL Server, T-SQL.
- Experience with RDBMS Databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL) and programming in multiple languages.
- Experience with Hitachi Network Manager EMS and/or enterprise data historian systems.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA/DA), or SCADA/EMS historian integration in a wind, solar, or energy storage system.
