Job Summary
Under the supervision of an experienced maintenance staff, the co-op maintenance tech will assist with a variety of tasks and learn essential skills to gain an understanding of how the building operates. This includes but not limited to:
- Assisting with repairs, for example, patching, painting, and replacing items
- Assisting with routine maintenance, for example, cleaning, dusting, and organizing the work area
- Assisting with inspections, for example, routine inspections of the building and identifying potential problems
- Learning about building systems, for example, operations of the building’s HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system
- Learning about tools and equipment and how to use them safely and properly
- Learning communication and teamwork
- Other duties the Maintenance Manager might assign
