Junior Analyst Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a junior analyst job in Chicago?
The fastest path is targeting Chicago's dense finance and consulting corridors in the Loop, where investment banks, asset managers, and management consultancies post entry-level analyst openings regularly. Healthcare systems along the Near North Side and technology firms in Fulton Market also hire heavily. Candidates with Excel, SQL, and data visualization skills stand out, and a finance or business degree from a Chicago-area university carries real weight with local hiring managers.
Which companies hire junior analysts in Chicago?
Chicago junior analyst roles are posted by Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Sargent & Lundy, and FCM and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Chicago's employer mix skews toward financial services firms, management consulting houses, and large healthcare organizations, all of which run structured analyst programs that recruit regularly.
Are there remote junior analyst jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type. Desk-based analytical work, such as financial modeling or data reporting, tends to be more remote-friendly than operations or client-facing analyst positions. About 27% of junior analyst openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with technology and consulting firms offering the most flexible arrangements locally.
How can I get a junior analyst job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through internship-to-hire pipelines at the city's major financial institutions and consulting firms, many of which convert summer analysts into full-time hires. Chicago's community colleges and universities run co-op programs that connect students directly to Loop employers. Targeting operations analyst or reporting analyst titles at mid-size Chicago companies also opens the door, since those roles typically have lower experience requirements than bulge-bracket finance positions.
Which industries hire the most junior analysts in Chicago?
Most junior analyst openings in Chicago sit in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Investment & Asset Management, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Chicago's identity as a global financial hub, home to major commodity exchanges and insurance headquarters, combined with its growing technology and healthcare sectors, keeps demand for entry-level analytical talent consistently high across those fields.
