INTRODUCTION
Seeking a skilled and motivated IT Lead to join our team to oversee the technology platforms and applications that support the company’s Workday AI initiatives, integrations and Extend apps. This role will lead the design, development, and optimization of Workday AI-powered capabilities, Enterprise Integrations and Extend applications. The IT Lead Analyst will play a pivotal role in enabling Workday Agents, Agent system of Record (ASOR), automations, data pipelines, scalable integrations and advancing AI-driven use cases and Extend app development to enhance business processes. The ideal candidate will align technology solutions with strategic business objectives, ensuring high-quality delivery, data integrity, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Workday AI & Extend: Drive the adoption and implementation of Workday AI capabilities, including Agent System of Record, custom agents, Orchestration, and data cloud. Design and develop Workday Extend applications to enhance user experience, streamline workflows, and deliver custom business solutions.
- Integration Leadership & solutioning: Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of integrations between Workday and internal/external platforms. Own end-to-end solutioning for Workday integrations, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data exchanges across enterprise systems.
- Advanced Integration Development: Leverage AI-enhanced integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and automation frameworks to improve efficiency and resiliency. Build and optimize integrations using Workday Orchestrate, Cloud Connect, and APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Systems & Data Engineering: Enable AI-driven insights and reporting through structured and unstructured data pipelines. Collaborate with business SMEs to design and validate data pipelines into Prism Analytics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Lead discovery workshops to identify opportunities for AI-driven enhancements and process automation.
- Operational Excellence & Governance: Oversee day-to-day operations, monitoring, and optimization of integrations and Extend apps. Ensure data quality, governance, compliance, and security across all integrations and AI solutions. Establish best practices, reusable frameworks, and documentation standards.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Workday AI, Extend, and integration roadmap updates to introduce innovative capabilities. Identify opportunities to leverage generative AI and intelligent workflows within Workday.
- Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Workday integrations with deep understanding of Workday Orchestrate, Studio, EIBs, PECI, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Document Transformations, Workday Packaged Integrations, XSLT, etc. and Workday Extend development.
- Prior implementation experience leading and implementing Workday AI/ML capabilities, Agents, ASOR, data pipelines and intelligent automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Workday architecture, data model, and security framework.
- Experience with at least 2 full life cycle Workday integrations.
- Experience in using Developer tools such as Oxygen, Postman/SOAP UI or its equivalent.
- Experience with modern integration technologies: REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, event-driven patterns.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and analytics platforms is highly desirable.
- Workday certifications in Integrations, Studio, and/or Extend (strongly preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
