Entry Level Legal Administrative Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level legal administrative assistant job?
Start by building familiarity with legal document formats, scheduling software, and office procedures, since those are the practical skills entry level employers screen for. Any internship at a law firm, courthouse, or corporate legal department strengthens your application significantly. Highlighting coursework in paralegal studies, business administration, or legal terminology also helps, especially if your direct work experience is limited. A tidy, organized resume that mirrors the attention to detail the role requires makes a strong first impression.
Which companies hire entry level legal administrative assistants?
Companies hiring entry level legal administrative assistants right now include Alliant Insurance Services, Jobot, and Socure, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a wide range of employers including law firms of all sizes, corporate legal departments, insurance companies, and government agencies that need organized support staff without requiring extensive prior experience.
Are there remote entry level legal administrative assistant jobs?
Yes, though most openings at this level are on-site or hybrid rather than fully remote. About 57% of entry level legal administrative assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who need flexibility still have real options. On-site roles remain common because new junior hires often benefit from in-person training and close coordination with attorneys and paralegals.
Are these new grad legal administrative assistant jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior legal administrative assistant roles. A new-grad-friendly posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or clinical placements in place of full-time work history, and does not require a specific number of years on the job. If a listing calls out that it trains the right candidate or values organizational skills and a willingness to learn, it is a strong new grad target.
Which industries hire the most entry level legal administrative assistants?
Entry Level legal administrative assistant roles concentrate in Insurance, Staffing & Recruiting, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they maintain large legal or compliance teams that rely on junior administrative staff to manage documents, coordinate schedules, and support attorneys handling high caseloads.
