Entry Level Legal Operations Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level legal operations manager job?
Entry level legal operations manager roles favor candidates who combine legal knowledge with operational or analytical skills. Employers at this level look for familiarity with contract management software, e-billing platforms, or project management tools, and value internship experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Highlighting coursework in legal studies, business operations, or data analysis, alongside any process-improvement projects, gives candidates a real edge over a generic resume.
Which companies hire entry level legal operations managers?
Companies hiring entry level legal operations managers right now include Jobot, Amazon, and MES Life Safety, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a mix of large corporations with in-house legal departments, law firms building dedicated operations functions, and legal technology companies that need operationally minded candidates to support client-facing legal workflows.
Are there remote entry level legal operations manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still make up a significant share of entry level postings. About 21% of entry level legal operations manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements being most common at larger organizations that want new hires to build working relationships in person before transitioning to a more flexible schedule.
Are these new grad legal operations manager jobs?
Yes, the entry level legal operations manager listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles. A posting is new grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or practicum work toward requirements, or accepts a strong portfolio in place of full-time history. Look for language like "recent graduates encouraged" or "will train" as a reliable signal that no prior full-time experience is required.
Which industries hire the most entry level legal operations managers?
Entry Level legal operations manager roles concentrate in Education, Staffing & Recruiting, and Law & Legal Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they maintain large in-house legal functions with enough operational volume to justify dedicated junior staff focused on workflow, vendor management, and legal technology rather than practicing law directly.
