Entry Level Operations Excellence Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level operations excellence manager job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate familiarity with process-improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma, even through coursework or a student project. A business, industrial engineering, or operations-related degree helps, but internship experience in a production, logistics, or quality environment gives you a concrete edge. Tailor your resume to show measurable results, even small ones, from any prior role or academic project.
Which companies hire entry level operations excellence managers?
Companies hiring entry level operations excellence managers right now include Amazon, PwC, and Ingersoll-Rand, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from manufacturers, healthcare systems, logistics providers, and large retailers that run structured rotational or operations development programs designed to build process-improvement talent from the ground up.
Are there remote entry level operations excellence manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still dominate at this level since much of the work involves observing and improving physical workflows. About 44% of entry level operations excellence manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically focus on data analysis, reporting, or process documentation rather than floor-level observation and hands-on improvement work.
Are these new grad operations excellence manager jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or co-ops in lieu of full-time history, or calls out a degree and a portfolio of process or quality projects as sufficient qualifications. If a role lists no minimum experience requirement, treat it as open to new grads.
Which industries hire the most entry level operations excellence managers?
Entry Level operations excellence manager roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they run high-volume, process-dependent operations where even a junior candidate trained in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement can contribute measurable efficiency gains quickly.
