Responsibilities:
- Assists in maintaining a safe environment for hotel employees and guests by responding to all emergencies.
- Performs preventive maintenance regarding plumbing and electrical systems such as checking outlets and pipe systems.
- Repairs furniture & structures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, window, counters, & others.
- Completes painting projects, wallpaper repair/hanging and finishing of furniture and structures.
- Checks electrical systems such as refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, and makes minor repairs.
- Checks and makes minor repairs to HVAC systems, & fixtures, such as pipelines, toilets & sinks.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years of experience as a maintenance engineer or repairman (experience in a high-volume hotel or resort preferred)
- Degree, certification, or training in engineering is a plus
- Ability to use general repair tools, read basic drawings and specifications, and make rough estimates of required material
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to bend, stand, and walk frequently
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
