Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and exterior grounds.
- Troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, lighting, hardware, and building-system issues.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain swimming pools, spas, pumps, filters, chemical feeders, and related equipment.
- Test and document pool and spa water chemistry, including disinfectant and pH levels, in accordance with applicable health and safety requirements.
- Safely handle, store, and apply pool chemicals using required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain accurate inspection, chemical, maintenance, and repair logs.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest maintenance requests while minimizing disruption.
- Complete assigned work orders and communicate unresolved or recurring issues to using MOP
- Conduct routine safety inspections and report hazards, equipment failures, leaks, or code concerns. Preventative Maintenance Quarterly Logs.
- Support emergency procedures, vendor access, and after-hours maintenance needs as assigned.
- Assist Housekeeping in stripping/cleaning rooms as needed.
- Follow hotel standards, manufacturer instructions, and applicable environmental and workplace-safety procedures, .
Qualifications
- Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least [1-2] years of general maintenance, hotel engineering, facilities, or property-maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of pool and spa operations, water chemistry, filtration, sanitation, and chemical safety.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, appliances, and general repairs.
