Maintenance Technician – Nova Inn Resort

Nova Inn Resort is looking for a reliable, experienced, and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and hotel facilities in excellent working condition while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete assigned work orders
• Diagnose and perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, PTAC/air-conditioning, carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic appliance repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair issues in guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and public areas
• Perform preventive maintenance on guest rooms, PTAC units, equipment, and property systems
• Inspect rooms and common areas and proactively identify maintenance issues
• Repair minor leaks, clogged drains, toilets, faucets, lighting, outlets, doors, locks, furniture, and fixtures
• Assist with exterior areas and general property upkeep as needed
• Keep tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and supplies organized
• Document completed repairs and communicate unresolved or recurring issues to management
• Use maintenance apps, work-order systems, and team communication platforms to receive, update, and complete maintenance tickets
• Follow hotel safety procedures and immediately report safety hazards or urgent maintenance concerns
• Work closely with Front Desk and Housekeeping to minimize guest disruption and return rooms to service as quickly as possible

Requirements

• Prior hotel maintenance experience required
• Strong general knowledge of plumbing, electrical, PTAC/HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance problems independently
• Dependable, organized, punctual, and able to prioritize multiple work orders
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable using a smartphone and maintenance/work-order applications
• Ability to climb stairs, bend, stand for extended periods, and lift/carry equipment as required
• Reliable transportation
• Professional attitude and strong attention to detail
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Schedule

• Flexible availability required
• Days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Availability for occasional urgent maintenance situations may be required
