Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks across building systems and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and facilities infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform repairs on electrical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Operate hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, welding, and general building repairs to maintain interior spaces.
- Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, and mechanical systems through scheduled servicing and urgent repairs.
- Oversee maintenance painting projects to enhance building aesthetics and protect surfaces from wear.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance tasks involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, and HVAC system troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by following proper procedures during all maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service to building occupants or tenants.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, and building interior upkeep.
- Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, HVAC systems (including repair and troubleshooting), plumbing system maintenance, and electrical equipment repair.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers as well as specialized tools like ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
- Experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), supervising or leading maintenance projects is preferred.
- Ability to read technical schematics and understand complex mechanical or electrical diagrams.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively coordinate tasks and provide excellent customer service.
- Leadership or supervising experience is advantageous for team coordination roles.
