Hallco Heating & Air is hiring an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician to serve customers throughout St. Augustine, St. Johns County, and surrounding areas.
This position requires previous hands-on HVAC experience and the ability to complete maintenance appointments independently. You’ll receive orientation to Hallco’s systems and procedures and support from our team, but you should already know how to maintain and evaluate residential HVAC equipment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform thorough preventive maintenance on both residential and commercial air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and the occasional furnace.
- Inspect and clean equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and Hallco procedures.
- Check electrical components, condensate drainage, coils, filters, blower operation, and overall system condition.
- Measure and interpret operating readings to evaluate system performance and identify concerns.
- Recognize when additional diagnosis or a service technician is needed and communicate those findings clearly.
- Explain maintenance findings and appropriate recommendations in language customers understand.
- Discuss maintenance agreements and relevant repair or comfort improvement options based on actual customer needs.
- Record readings, photos, findings, and recommendations accurately in ServiceTitan.
- Coordinate with dispatch, service technicians, and Comfort Advisors when additional work is needed.
- Protect customers’ homes and keep your vehicle, tools, and work areas organized and clean.
- Follow safe work practices and take responsibility for the quality of each appointment.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Previous professional HVAC maintenance or service experience.
- Ability to complete routine residential maintenance independently.
- Working knowledge of heat pumps, air conditioners, electrical components, airflow, and condensate systems.
- Ability to use HVAC test instruments safely and interpret the results.
- Sound judgment about when to resolve an issue and when to ask for technical support.
- Clear communication, dependable attendance, and respectful customer service.
- Comfort using a tablet and maintaining accurate digital records; ServiceTitan experience is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout our service area.
- Ability to perform field duties, including accessing equipment in attics and outdoor areas and using ladders, with or without reasonable accommodation.
