Job Summary
This position supports the electrical systems and equipment throughout an industrial terminal operation, including motor control centers (MCCs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electric motors, conveyor systems, and associated safety devices. The Electrician will perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs across a variety of facility equipment and systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair motor control centers (MCCs), PLC-controlled systems, electric motors, and related industrial electrical equipment
- Diagnose electrical issues associated with conveyor systems and conveyor safety devices
- Perform general electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance throughout the terminal facility
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation, control systems, electrical panels, sensors (pressure, level, flow, temperature, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Configure and maintain PLCs and control panels Test and validate control systems to ensure proper function and compliance
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records
- Assist with system upgrades, modifications, and commissioning of new equipment Ensure work complies with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E)
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to support plant reliability and performance goals
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Effective documentation and clear technical communication skill
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) certification preferred, but not required
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license strongly preferred, but not required
- Valid Driver’s License
- TWIC, (Transportation Worker Identification Card) current or the ability to obtain and maintain one
