Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and industrial equipment, including wiring, circuit breakers, and control panels.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in machinery and motor control systems using testing devices and technical diagrams.

Technical Documentation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide installations and repairs.

Safety Compliance: Follow local, state, and national electrical codes, perform inspections, and ensure all work meets safety regulations.

Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to prevent equipment failure and minimize downtime.

Collaboration: Work independently or as part of a team, often coordinating with other tradespeople like mechanical or plumbing technicians.

Mentorship: Train and guide apprentices or junior electricians in safe and effective practices.

Follow OSHA regulations and safety standards.

All other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.

Required a minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Completion of an apprenticeship program or several years of industrial electrical experience; Journeyman license often required.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with electrical tools, testing equipment, and knowledge of industrial machinery and control systems, including PLCs.
-
Required - Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, policies, and rules.

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by company.

Must be regularly available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
-
Must be available and willing to work such overtime as is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged standing and walking.

Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, squat, lift, and reach.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Must be able to tolerate heat.
-
Must be able to work and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.

Noise may exceed 85db; must wear hearing protection. Exposure to extreme heat.
-
Safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes are required while in the production areas.
