JOB TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor – 3rd Shift
JOB TYPE: Direct-Hire
LOCATION: Bronx, NY – Onsite
START DATE: October/November 2026
SHIFT: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team responsible for maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will focus on equipment reliability, planned maintenance, troubleshooting, team leadership, and continuous improvement while supporting safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct maintenance technicians responsible for production and packaging equipment.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Guide equipment troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair activities.
- Prioritize maintenance work based on production needs, equipment condition, and scheduled maintenance requirements.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed in accordance with applicable safety, quality, and documentation standards.
- Use maintenance management systems to coordinate work orders, schedules, equipment history, and planned maintenance.
- Coach, train, and develop maintenance personnel while supporting performance management and accountability.
- Identify and implement practical improvements to maintenance processes, equipment performance, and overall operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with responsibility for leading or supervising maintenance personnel; strong lead-level candidates performing comparable supervisory duties may be considered.
- Strong experience maintaining and troubleshooting production and/or packaging equipment.
- Demonstrated experience managing preventive maintenance programs and working with a CMMS.
- Experience supporting predictive maintenance activities and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment with the ability to oversee and understand troubleshooting activities; programming expertise is not required.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and support mechanical and equipment troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to identify root causes, solve equipment problems, and implement process improvements.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to direct, develop, and hold technical teams accountable.
