Entry Level Market Research Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level market research job?
Entry level market research employers look for candidates who can demonstrate analytical thinking and comfort with data, even without years of experience. A class project, internship, or self-directed survey study that shows you can design a research question, collect data, and present findings gives you a real edge. Familiarity with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or basic survey platforms also helps you stand out at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level market researchers?

At this level, hiring comes from a wide range of employers, including market research firms, consumer goods companies, consulting agencies, and tech companies building out their insights teams.
Are there remote entry level market research jobs?
