Entry Level Marketing Account Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level marketing account manager job?
Entry level marketing account manager roles reward candidates who can show client-facing communication skills and a basic grasp of campaign workflows. Internship experience in an agency or brand marketing team carries the most weight at this stage. A portfolio that includes a real or class project demonstrating how you managed a client brief, tracked deliverables, or reported on results will separate you from candidates with similar GPA credentials.
Which companies hire entry level marketing account managers?
Companies hiring entry level marketing account managers right now include University of Utah, OhioHealth, and FedEx Freight, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At the entry level, you'll find openings at independent agencies, regional media companies, and in-house marketing teams at consumer brands that run structured rotational programs built for recent graduates.
Are there remote entry level marketing account manager jobs?
Yes, though most entry level roles still favor in-office time for hands-on client and team collaboration. About 31% of entry level marketing account manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, giving new grads real flexibility without sacrificing mentorship access. Hybrid schedules are particularly common at mid-size agencies that balance client service demands with flexible work policies.
Are these new grad marketing account manager jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior marketing account manager roles alongside broader entry level postings. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or practicum work in place of full-time history, and considers a strong portfolio as a substitute for a lengthy resume, making them accessible to candidates graduating this year.
Which industries hire the most entry level marketing account managers?
Entry Level marketing account manager roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive junior hiring because they run ongoing client campaigns that require dedicated account support, creating a steady pipeline of entry level openings that do not require prior industry-specific experience to apply.
