Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in social media marketing while working on impactful projects alongside seasoned professionals. As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will assist in implementing and optimizing social media campaigns, promoting compelling content, and analyzing performance metrics across various platforms. You will also gain exposure to search engine marketing, content creation, email marketing, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with members from around the world to support, implement and optimize social media marketing campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, insights, and opportunities to engage with our audience.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement new ideas for social media content and campaigns.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify audience demographics, interests, and behaviors.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing social media metrics to track campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in content scheduling on multiple social media platforms.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify industry trends and competitor strategies.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives as needed.
- Develop the ability to operate with minimal supervision over the course of the internship.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
- Strong passion for social media marketing and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and Reddit.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of social advertising platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager) is a plus.
The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education.
