OEM, Inc. is an established engineering and manufacturing company with more than 46 years of industry experience. We design, fabricate, manufacture, and support specialized safety testing equipment used throughout the oil and gas industry, serving customers in more than 50 markets worldwide.
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys designing products, solving manufacturing challenges, improving engineering processes, and taking ownership of projects from concept through production.
This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and works closely with manufacturing and sales to develop innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new products, assemblies, and components using SolidWorks.
- Improve and maintain existing products through engineering analysis, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create and maintain accurate 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering change documentation, and product configurations.
- Design with manufacturability, assembly efficiency, reliability, and cost in mind.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and manufacturing issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Support product testing, validation, and root cause investigations.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through production while meeting project schedules and objectives.
- Provide regular project updates to the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks 3D CAD.
- Experience using SolidWorks PDM or similar product data management software.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
- Ability to read and create detailed manufacturing drawings with appropriate tolerances.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $81,000.00 per year
