Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Practice Operations Manager to lead our growing team. This role is central to our practice’s success, with primary emphasis on operations management, human resources, team leadership, and creating a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of mental health understanding, healthcare administration expertise, and strong business acumen to support both our clinical staff and the operational success of the practice.

Operations Management

· Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring smooth workflow and coordination

· Supervise clinical support staff and delegate responsibilities effectively

· Maintain and enhance operational policies and procedures

· Manage scheduling systems for clinicians and clinical support staff

· Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state licensing requirements, and professional standards

· Coordinate facility management and maintain a welcoming, functional office environment

Human Resources and Team Leadership

· Foster a positive, supportive workplace culture that aligns with our mental health values

· Maintain compliance with employment laws, HR policies, and best practices

· Oversee and refine staff training programs

· Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns with sensitivity and professionalism

· Coordinate team meetings and staff development initiatives

· Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for clinical support staff

Clinical Support

· Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and administrative operations

· Understand clinical workflows and support clinician needs

· Maintain awareness of mental health best practices and industry trends

· Support current crisis management protocols and emergency procedures

Financial and Business Operations

· Collaborate with ownership on budget development and financial planning

· Collaborate with other team members responsible for billing operations, insurance credentialing, and revenue cycle management

· Monitor key performance indicators and practice metrics

· Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost management

· Support business development and growth initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Healthcare, Nursing, Business, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

· 3+ years of experience in healthcare administration, clinical practice, practice management, or related leadership role

· Demonstrated experience in human resources and team leadership

· Strong understanding of healthcare practice operations and clinical environments

· Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance requirements

· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams

· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

· Experience with EHR/EMR systems
