Certified Nurse Midwife
A Growing and Progressive Community Health Center (with six (6) locations throughout the metro Detroit area) has an immediate opening for a Certified Nurse Midwife for a busy primary care practice in a patient friendly ambulatory setting.
Position Description
Provides clinical comprehensive health care to patients including antepartum, postpartum, and general gynecological care. Conducts initial prenatal office visits, interviews, performs exams (postpartum, annual, etc.), provides patient health education, and follow-up prenatal visits. Manages labor and attending delivery. Follows established medical protocols and collaborates with other Nurse Midwives and Medical Staff as it relates to patient care. Acts as preceptor for Nurse Midwife students. Assists with various administrative activities of the Nurse Midwife Program such as: communicating with OB-GYN Department at the hospitals, telephone follow-up with postpartum patients, etc.
