A typical day for a MRI Technician may include:
- Assists Physicians as needed
- Assists in the orientation of new staff and/or students
- Competent in the use of RIS & PACS system, and other IT programs utilized.
- Maintains a neat, clean and stocked work area.
- Obtains proper medical history and insures accurate patient demographic and medical information.
- Performs all standard techniques for procedure protocols
- Recognizes the significant of all structures visualized and is able to differentiate normal from abnormal and recognizes artifacts. Understands when to seek advice
- Reports equipment problems to supervising Technologist
- May perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.
