Mid Level Network Security Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level network security analyst job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just participation. Highlight projects where you led the response to a threat, configured security tooling without hand-holding, or improved a process that reduced risk measurably. Tailor your resume to show depth in at least one specialty, such as endpoint security, SIEM operations, or network monitoring, and make your impact concrete with outcomes rather than duties.
Which companies hire mid level network security analysts?
Companies hiring mid level network security analysts right now include GEICO, Deloitte, and Collabera, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers large enterprises managing complex infrastructure, government contractors with clearance requirements, and mid-size technology and financial services firms building out dedicated security teams.
Are there remote mid level network security analyst jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and security clearance requirements. About 23% of mid level network security analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting strong demand for analysts who can monitor and respond to threats without being on-site full time. Roles tied to classified environments or physical infrastructure typically require in-office presence.
How do I move up to a mid level network security analyst role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on demonstrated ownership over time. Start by going deeper in a specific area, such as intrusion detection, vulnerability management, or firewall administration, rather than staying generalist. Take on incident response tasks, contribute to security audits, and document your impact with measurable outcomes. Certifications like Security+, CySA+, or CEH signal readiness for greater responsibility to hiring managers.
Which industries hire the most mid level network security analysts?
Mid Level network security analyst roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Insurance, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they operate sensitive data environments, face significant regulatory compliance requirements, or maintain critical infrastructure that demands ongoing threat monitoring and response capabilities from experienced analysts.
