SUMMARY OF POSITION: This job is responsible for directing and coordinating members of the care team, focusing on the provision of individualized quality patient care consistent with organizational standards. Develops the patient plan of care in partnership with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patient/family. A qualified anesthesia provider involved in the administration of anesthesia and related services as delineated by state licensing guidelines, hospital rules and regulations, and supervisory physician.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- BLS certification required.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required prior to the end of the orientation period.
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required prior to the end of the orientation period.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs is preferred.
- One (1) year experience within the last three (3) years in an acute care setting preferred.
