Weekend Rotation: 1:5 Call; weekend call is Friday at 1500 thru Monday at 0700
Holiday Rotation: 1:5

Position Summary:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNAs) are advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) licensed as independent practitioners. CRNAs practice both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of health providers on the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services according to the Standards of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, Scope of Practice for Nurse Anesthetists, and Code of Ethics for Nurse Anesthetists. The CRNA is responsible for the assessment, planning, and implementation of this care in accordance with GRH policies and procedures for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management. This role also participates in planning and administering programs for the delivery of primary, acute, or chronic care with other health professionals.
Education and Experience:
- Holds current state licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse in the state of Minnesota and complies with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements.
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
- Complies with one of the following requirements regarding certification eligibility, initial certification, or recertification:
- Meets first two bullets above, and is awaiting initial certification (some states limit this period of time); or
- Currently certified by the Council on Certification of Nurses Anesthetists or its predecessor; or
- Currently recertified by the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Certified in ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS.
- Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by Glencoe Regional Health.
- Must be credentialed in accordance with the medical staff bylaws, the credentialing requirements and processes of the hospital prior to assuming full responsibilities of the position.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities for which the candidate is applying.
- Call requires <30-minute response.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive compensation package that recognizes experience. The base starting rate is $129.70 per hour, with a three-tier wage structure that provides increased compensation based on experience. Additional earning opportunities are available through after-hours and weekend coverage, including OB epidural coverage, case callback, and service CBI pay.
