Nursing Assistant Jobs in Bronx: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a nursing assistant job in Bronx?
Your strongest path in Bronx is targeting the borough's dense network of skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home health agencies, which hire nursing assistants year-round. Facilities in the Pelham Parkway and Fordham corridors hire frequently, and hospital systems anchored in the South Bronx maintain ongoing entry-level pipelines. A current CNA certification, CPR clearance, and any hands-on clinical hours from a local program will set you apart from candidates without documented patient care experience.
Which companies hire nursing assistants in Bronx?
Companies currently hiring nursing assistants in Bronx include Theradynamics, Centers Health Care, and The City University of New York, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The Bronx employer mix skews heavily toward long-term care operators, nonprofit hospital networks, and community-based home health organizations that serve the borough's large elderly and Medicaid-enrolled population.
Are there remote nursing assistant jobs in Bronx?
Remote nursing assistant work is rare by nature, since the role is almost entirely hands-on and requires in-person patient care. About 0% of nursing assistant openings tied to Bronx are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those listings typically involve care coordination, telehealth support, or administrative functions rather than direct bedside duties.
How can I get a nursing assistant job in Bronx with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Bronx is applying directly to long-term care facilities and home health agencies that run their own CNA training programs, several of which are based in the South Bronx and North Bronx communities. These employers often hire trainees on a conditional basis while certification is completed. Applying as a home health aide or patient care technician at a Bronx community hospital is another lateral move that builds the documented experience nursing assistants need to advance.
Which industries hire the most nursing assistants in Bronx?
The sectors hiring the most nursing assistants in Bronx are Education and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The Bronx's large senior population, high concentration of federally qualified health centers, and major academic medical institutions collectively sustain unusually strong and steady demand for nursing assistants across those sectors.
