Nursing Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a nursing job in Dallas?
Dallas's strongest hiring activity centers on its large hospital systems, Level I trauma centers, and the concentration of specialty care facilities in the Medical District near Stemmons Freeway. Candidates who hold certifications in critical care, emergency, or oncology nursing stand out in this market. Applying directly to health systems and academic medical centers, rather than only through staffing agencies, tends to move faster in Dallas.
Which companies hire nursings in Dallas?
Employers hiring nursings in Dallas right now include Ventana Medical Systems, Baylor Scott & White Health, and Outfield Healthcare Partners, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Dallas attracts a mix of large nonprofit health systems, for-profit hospital groups, and specialty surgical centers, all of which maintain ongoing nursing recruitment pipelines throughout the year.
Are there remote nursing jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though remote work is limited for bedside and hands-on clinical roles. About 0% of nursing openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, concentrated in utilization review, case management, and telehealth triage. Dallas-based insurers and health plan administrators tend to be the most consistent source of fully remote nursing positions locally.
How can I get a nursing job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is a new graduate residency program, which the city's major hospital systems run on regular cycles throughout the year. Community hospitals in surrounding areas like Mesquite and Irving also hire new graduates and offer a lower-competition alternative to flagship medical centers. Earning a specialty certification early, even as a student, and completing clinical rotations at Dallas facilities gives local employers a reason to consider you before graduation.
Which industries hire the most nursings in Dallas?
Dallas nursing roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Medical Devices, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Dallas's role as a regional healthcare hub, anchored by its dense cluster of hospital systems and the UT Southwestern academic medical complex, keeps demand in these sectors consistently above the national average.
