Manufacturing Operations Analyst

The position will be responsible for studying how the work moves through the manufacturing operations, gathering and organizing operational information, building reliable performance measures, investigating performance changes, and converting complex plant data into clear information that management can use to make decisions.

This position has the following responsibilities:

· Observe production processes, interview employees and document how material, information and decisions flow through the plant.

· Develop current-state process maps, value-stream maps, and supporting documentation for refining, melting, casting, inspection, rework, and related workflows.

· Identify existing productions records, laboratory information, spreadsheets, ERP transactions, logbooks and manual records; document data ownership, definitions, and reliability.

· Establish consistent KPIs for throughput, yield/recovery, scrap, rework, WIP, cycle time, downtime, labor utilization, quality, inventory, and operating cost.

· Clean, reconcile, and structure information from multiple sources; identify trends, anomalies, bottlenecks, and sources of variation.

· Investigate significant changes in operational performance and work with subject-matter experts to determine likely causes.

· Develop concise weekly and monthly scorecards, dashboards, and written analyses that highlight material issues, trends, risks, and opportunities.

· Quantify operational improvement opportunities, estimate financial or capacity impact, and provide fact-based analysis for capital and process decisions.

· Establish baselines, track implementation results and verify whether changes produce the expected operational benefit.

· Help establish standard definitions, collection practices, and reporting routines so operating data remain consistent and useful over time.

Qualifications for this position are:

· Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations management, business analytics, supply chain, data analytics, or a related field; equivalent manufacturing experience may substitute for formal education.

· 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, process analysis, continuous improvement, industrial engineering, production control, operational excellence, or a related analytical role.

· Demonstrated ability to gather imperfect plant-floor data, organize it, test its reliability, and translate it into useful management information.

· Strong Excel skills, including data cleaning, pivot tables, charts, lookup functions, and structured analytical models.

· Ability to communicate effectively with hourly employees, supervisors, technical personnel, and senior management.

· Comfort working regularly in an industrial environment and spending meaningful time on the production floor.
