This is where you can learn from industry leaders and become one yourself. It's fast-paced, mission-based work that challenges the status quo. Be on the team that's changing the world.
What we're looking for:
Nexamp is seeking an Office Operations & Events Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations and appearance of our Boston office, coordinate vendors and building services, and serve as a welcoming point of contact for team members and visitors. In this role, you'll help ensure the Boston office is welcoming, energetic, and exceptionally well run—and that every visitor leaves with an outstanding impression of Nexamp.
You'll also plan and deliver engaging events and activities across Nexamp offices, manage related budgets and calendars, and contribute to office experience and engagement initiatives, including onboarding, communications, and celebrations. Reporting to the Team Member Engagement Lead, you'll build strong relationships across the organization, partner with senior leadership, and turn creative ideas into practical programs that strengthen community, connection, and alignment with Nexamp's mission and values. This position is onsite 5 days a week in our Boston office, working our core hours (9 - 5:30), with periodic evening hours required (1-2 times per quarter).
What you'll do:
- Oversee day-to-day Boston office operations and maintain a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming workplace.
- Coordinate the ordering of office equipment, supplies, provisions, and snacks, and manage mail and outgoing business shipments.
- Serve as the primary contact for vendors, building management, and service providers; coordinate maintenance requests, track office expenses, maintain operational records, and support reporting activities.
- Manage the visitor system and welcome and assist guests and team members, while supporting senior leadership with on-site team events.
- Identify opportunities to improve office processes and enhance the workplace experience, helping make the Boston office a place people genuinely want to come to—not simply where they have to work.
- Own the cross-office events calendar, including lunches, coffee carts, happy hours, celebrations, and other activities; plan and execute Boston office events, including holiday parties and milestone celebrations, while supporting events in Chicago, DC, and NY.
- Research, solicit, and implement creative ideas that promote connection, enjoyment, and engagement; track the office events budget, support the annual budget request process, and contribute to engagement initiatives including onboarding, day-one training, data analysis, health and wellness, and communications.
What you'll bring:
- 1-3 years of experience working in a customer facing and/or office support role.
- Experience planning and hosting events.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with leadership, team members, visitors, vendors, and service providers.
- Ability to manage day-to-day office operations, event calendars, budgets, expenses, records, and reporting activities with organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to welcome and assist visitors and team members while creating a positive workplace experience.
- Ability to research ideas, identify opportunities for improvement, and turn creative concepts into practical programs and activities.
- Office maintenance will sometimes require lifting heavy objects or boxes (up to 25lbs) and building furniture.
- Frequent walking laps around the three-story office to check cleanliness across kitchens, conference rooms and workspaces.
- Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
If you don't meet 100% of the above qualifications, but see yourself contributing, please apply.

Operations Coordinator Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a operations coordinator job in Boston?
Focus on Boston's highest-volume hiring sectors: healthcare systems in Longwood, biotech and life sciences in Kendall Square and the Seaport, universities across the city, and financial services firms in Back Bay. Candidates who stand out typically bring project coordination experience, familiarity with ERP or project management tools, and the ability to work across departments in complex organizations. Tailoring your resume to the sector you are targeting matters more here than a generic application.
Which companies hire operations coordinators in Boston?
Companies currently hiring operations coordinators in Boston include Boston University, SNYK, and Nexamp, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Boston's employer mix leans heavily toward large academic medical centers, life sciences firms, and professional services organizations, all of which maintain dedicated operations teams.
Are there remote operations coordinator jobs in Boston?
Yes, though it depends on the role. Operations coordinator work tends to be on-site when it involves facilities, logistics, or clinical environments, and more remote-compatible when it centers on scheduling, reporting, or vendor management. About 57% of operations coordinator openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of August 2026. Desk-based and analytics-heavy coordinator roles at tech and financial services firms in the Seaport and Back Bay are the most likely to offer flexible arrangements.
How can I get a operations coordinator job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boston is through administrative or program assistant roles at universities, hospitals, or large nonprofits, which frequently promote internally into coordinator positions. Boston's concentration of teaching hospitals and research institutions also means graduate program coordinator and lab operations roles regularly open to candidates with strong organizational skills and limited direct experience. Relevant internships from Boston-area colleges and familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Asana, or Microsoft 365 can make an early-career application competitive.
Which industries hire the most operations coordinators in Boston?
Most operations coordinator openings in Boston sit in Education, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Boston's economy is shaped by its research hospital networks, a dense cluster of biotech and pharmaceutical companies, and a substantial higher education sector, all of which rely on operations coordinators to manage complex, multi-stakeholder workflows.
