Overview
Databricks is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance Commercialization, PMO, and Operations. You will be responsible for driving organization, transformation, innovation and operational efficiency at scale, as well as managing key programs across global Finance teams within the Controllership organization and with our cross-functional stakeholders. You will interface with leadership to ensure transparency and visibility into our programs and projects. You will partner with teams across the Controllership, including Order to Revenue (Revenue Operations, Billing, Revenue Accounting, Revenue Assurance), Accounting, Payroll, Tax, Treasury, and Commissions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, Engineering, Go-to-Market, FP&A, Pricing, Sales Operations, and our Internal Audit team. You will own planning processes, project intake and prioritization and drive key trade-off decisions on behalf of the Controllership. Your passion should be planning, leading, and executing global, cross-functional, enterprise-wide projects that impact the Finance organization. The ability to plan and execute effectively while collaborating across teams and locations will be key to success in this role. In this role, you will remove friction for the Finance team by developing organization-wide standards, leading programs, including communications, reporting, and metrics, optimizing processes, and driving technology improvements.
The Impact You Will Have
- Project and Program Management:
- Streamline and own planning, intake, and prioritization processes across the Controllership, ensuring alignment with the Company and Finance team’s goals and strategy
- Lead and manage multiple complex, cross-functional programs, including working with stakeholders from IT, Engineering, Sales, and other Finance teams
- Provide leadership and expertise in planning, organizing, and executing high-impact projects that drive operational excellence and process standardization across the Finance team
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across teams and locations to ensure the seamless execution of global initiatives

Work with our Engineering and IT teams to ensure timelines are met and risks are addressed

Accounting Process Optimization & Improvement:
- Ensure efficiency in our Accounting processes and close procedures
- Identify and implement automation opportunities across the Controllership to reduce manual work and streamline processes

Develop a Global Business Services strategy for global coverage and efficient growth

Communication, Reporting & Metrics:
- Lead executive communications and reporting, ensuring transparency and alignment on project progress, risks, and outcomes
- Run QBRs with leadership to ensure OKRs and metrics are on track to meet goals and established timelines
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 8+ years of experience working in Accounting groups
- 8+ years of experience leading cross-functional projects and programs with demonstrated success in process optimization and automation
- Expertise in program management, executive communications, reporting, and metrics
- Expertise in planning, OKRs, and QBRs
- Experience in implementing and managing SOX controls on both the business process and IT sides
- Experience in process improvement and optimization
- Proficiency with JIRA, project management tools, and reporting systems
- SaaS industry experience is a plus
- CPA certification is a plus
- SQL or Python experience is a plus
- Expert-level presentation skills, including the ability to develop impactful presentations using Google Slides
Pay Range Transparency
Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. - Zone 1 Pay Range $178,900—$245,950 USD
- Zone 2 Pay Range $161,000—$221,300 USD
- Zone 3 Pay Range $152,100—$209,100 USD
