About Us
The Law Office of Asher Hoffman, APC is a plaintiff-side personal injury firm representing clients injured in auto accidents, rideshare collisions, premises incidents, and UM/UIM claims. We are a growing, owner-led firm with a strong caseload and a team that genuinely cares about our clients. We are looking for an operations leader to take ownership of how the firm runs so our attorney can focus on practicing law and building the practice.

The Role
This is not a traditional office manager position. You will be the operational backbone of the firm: owning case flow from intake through settlement and disbursement, leading and developing staff, building and enforcing systems, and giving firm leadership clear visibility into how the business is performing. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who likes building structure, solving problems before they become problems, and holding a team to a high standard.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day firm operations and serve as the primary point of contact for staff, so routine decisions no longer route through the attorney
• Oversee the full case lifecycle: intake, treatment monitoring, records and bills collection, demand preparation, negotiation support, settlement, lien resolution, and disbursement
• Build, document, and maintain SOPs, checklists, and workflows for every stage of a case
• Track and report on firm KPIs such as case cycle time, time from end of treatment to demand, caseload per case manager, and lien resolution time
• Supervise, train, and hold accountable case managers and support staff; lead hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews
• Maintain litigation and statute of limitations tracking in coordination with the attorney
• Manage case management software, vendors, medical providers, and records companies
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements in technology, staffing, and process
• Uphold client communication standards so clients are consistently updated and well cared for

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience at a plaintiff personal injury law firm, including supervisory or management responsibility (senior case managers and pre-lit managers ready to step up are encouraged to apply)
• Deep understanding of the PI case lifecycle, including medical liens, Medi-Cal and Medicare liens, and settlement disbursement
• Experience leading and developing a team
• Strong command of case management software (e.g., Filevine, CASEpeer, Litify, SmartAdvocate, or similar) and Excel
• Highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable setting and enforcing deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a strong plus

Schedule and Location

• Hybrid: 3 days per week in office, 2 days remote
• Primarily based at our Wilshire office, with periodic time at our Long Beach office
• Must live within commuting distance of Los Angeles

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $95,000 to $115,000 per year, depending on experience (exempt)
• Annual performance bonus of up to 10% of base, tied to firm and operational goals
• Formal salary review at 6 months
