Revenue Operations Manager Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a revenue operations manager in California?
Most revenue operations managers in California start with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or marketing and build experience in sales operations, marketing operations, or business analytics before moving into a manager role. California does not require a state-issued license for this position. Earning a Salesforce Administrator certification or a credential from the Revenue Collective is a common step that California employers recognize when evaluating candidates for management-level roles.
Which companies hire revenue operations managers in California?
Employers hiring revenue operations managers in California right now include Skydio, Rippling, and Adobe, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. California's dense concentration of SaaS and enterprise software companies means demand for this role tends to be steady year-round rather than seasonal.
Which California cities have the most revenue operations manager jobs?
San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Irvine have the most revenue operations manager openings in California. San Francisco and its surrounding Bay Area cities account for a large share because of the high concentration of SaaS and cloud software headquarters there, while Los Angeles draws openings from media, fintech, and e-commerce companies, and San Diego sees demand from its growing biotech and cybersecurity sectors.

About 61% of revenue operations manager openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly California tech and SaaS employers have adopted flexible arrangements. Fully remote roles are most common in forecasting, data analysis, and CRM administration, while onsite expectations tend to apply to positions that require close coordination with field sales teams.
How can I get hired as a revenue operations manager in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a revenue operations analyst or sales operations coordinator role first, then building toward a manager title. Large California SaaS employers like Salesforce, Zoom, and ServiceNow hire entry-level operations associates and often develop them internally. Earning a Salesforce Administrator certification before applying strengthens a candidate's profile considerably. Adjacent roles in marketing operations, business analytics, or inside sales are common jumping-off points that California hiring managers recognize as relevant experience.
