About INF1NITY Group
INF1NITY is a holding company built on Rastegar Capital's foundation - a growing group of operating subsidiaries spanning real estate, marketing, venture, and beyond. The marketing department supports every INF1NITY subsidiary while actively pursuing and winning third-party business on its own merits.
We are building a real marketing operation, staffed and run like a top independent agency, with the structural advantage of an in-house client base from day one and the ambition to compete for external business on equal terms.
Our Foundation - Rastegar Capital
Rastegar Capital was founded in 2015 by Ari Rastegar as a vertically integrated real estate firm. Recognized by Forbes as "the Oracle of Austin" for his early identification of the city's growth trajectory, Ari was inducted into the Commercial Observer's Power 100 List in 2021..
Headquartered in Austin, TX, the firm operates across seven asset classes in 38 cities, with a development pipeline spanning ~400 acres of raw land and an investor base including public pension plans, insurance companies, and ~700 high-net-worth individuals. INF1NITY expands that foundation into a multi-vertical alternative investment platform spanning venture capital and institutional capital formation.
In 2022, Ari published The Gift of Failure, a bestselling book reframing failure as the essential catalyst for meaningful growth.
The Role
We are looking for someone to own this department completely - strategy, people, P&L, and delivery. You will set the vision, build the team, land external clients, and ensure the work is exceptional across every account.
This is not a figurehead position. You will be hands-on. The best candidate has run an agency, knows every function inside out, and is ready to build something from a position of real authority - not inherit someone else's playbook.
What You Will Own
Lead INF1NITY's marketing department as a fully functioning internal agency, serving group subsidiaries and actively pursuing external client business
Own the division's P&L, including third-party revenue targets, staffing budgets, and margin accountability
Hire, develop, and manage a team across creative, strategy, digital, content, and account management
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies across INF1NITY's real estate, venture, and other business lines
Leverage your industry network to bring in external clients and build the department's reputation in the market
Set creative direction, quality standards, and delivery processes competitive with top independent agencies
Serve as the senior relationship holder for key accounts, internal and external
Report directly to INF1NITY Group leadership and contribute to cross-company strategy
What We Are Looking For
15-20 years of experience in marketing, with the majority spent running or leading an agency or agency-style operation
Proven track record of building teams, owning client relationships, and delivering results across multiple accounts simultaneously
A strong, active network in the Los Angeles marketing and business community
Fluency across the full marketing mix: brand, digital, paid media, content, social, PR, and experiential
Real P&L ownership experience - revenue targets, cost management, margin accountability
Operator mindset - you build, you decide, you execute; ambiguity does not slow you down
Based in Los Angeles and available to work on-site
Why This Role
Most senior agency people eventually hit a ceiling - managing someone else's clients, growing someone else's business, executing someone else's vision.
This role inverts that entirely. You will have a platform with internal clients from day one, the backing of a group with real capital and a decade of operational momentum, and the full authority to build the department exactly as you believe it should be built.
If you have spent two decades in this industry and you know precisely how a great marketing operation should run, this is your chance to prove it.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $250,000–$300,000, commensurate with experience
Plus: performance bonus, stock options, and a full benefits package
A compelling rewards package designed to attract, retain, and develop best-in-class talent

How can I get hired as a vice president of operations in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is moving into the role from a senior manager or director of operations position, rather than applying directly without a leadership background. California employers in logistics, technology, and healthcare regularly promote from within, so targeting operations manager or senior director roles at large California companies like those in the Bay Area tech corridor or the Los Angeles distribution networks builds the profile needed. Earning a Lean or Six Sigma certification and leading a measurable process improvement project accelerates that progression significantly.
