Operations Jobs in Annapolis Junction: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a operations job in Annapolis Junction?
Focus your search on the defense contracting ecosystem and the logistics and distribution operations clustered along the MD-32 and US-1 corridors near Annapolis Junction. Employers there consistently hire for program coordination, supply chain, and facilities operations roles. Candidates with clearance eligibility, experience with government contract workflows, or certifications like Lean Six Sigma stand out most in this market.
Which companies hire operationss in Annapolis Junction?
Annapolis Junction operations roles are posted by Parsons, Columbia Technology Partners, and LufCo and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local employer mix leans heavily toward defense and intelligence contractors alongside logistics and light industrial operators in the surrounding business parks.
Are there remote operations jobs in Annapolis Junction?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type: hands-on logistics, facilities, and warehouse operations are almost entirely on-site, while program operations, analytics, and administrative operations work can often go hybrid. About 60% of operations openings tied to Annapolis Junction are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among program and project operations roles supporting government contractors.
How can I get a operations job in Annapolis Junction with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Annapolis Junction is through coordinator or operations associate roles at defense contractors and logistics firms in the MD-32 corridor, where structured onboarding and government contract volume mean steady junior hiring. Internships with larger contractors can convert to full-time offers, and facilities technician and inventory control positions at the business parks near Jessup often require no degree, just reliability and attention to detail.
