Event Operations Assistant

Position Overview
NSPN.tv is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Operations Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of streaming high school sporting events. This role plays a key part in delivering seamless event experiences, from pre-event preparation through on-site execution and post-event wrap-up.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with flexible hours, and is based in or near the Minneapolis–St. Paul area to support on-site event needs when required.
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $20/hour
- Schedule: Hours vary based on event needs
- Typically 10–20 hours per week, with potential to increase up to 40 hours per week during peak or busy event periods
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Operational Support
- Compile and distribute weekly event schedules
- Provide scheduling support for broadcasters and camera operators
- Assist in coordinating staffing assignments to ensure proper coverage for all events and broadcasts
- Track and compile setup instructions for each venue
- Assist with sending event communications (confirmations, reminders, updates)
- Occasionally assist with on-site event support and delivering gear to crew
Qualifications
Required
- 1–3 years of experience in administrative or operations support
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred
- Experience supporting live or broadcast-style events
- Familiarity with Minnesota high schools and high school sports
- Based in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area (or nearby) for occasional in-person support
