Operations Manager Jobs in Nashville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a operations manager job in Nashville?
Nashville's strongest hiring for operations managers is in healthcare systems, distribution and third-party logistics, and hospitality and entertainment companies anchored in the city. Roles concentrate in Midtown, the Gulch, and the Cool Springs corridor in Williamson County. Candidates with direct experience managing teams in those sectors move faster through hiring pipelines here. Familiarity with process improvement frameworks like Lean or Six Sigma gives a clear edge in Nashville's manufacturing and healthcare environments.
Which companies hire operations managers in Nashville?
Companies currently hiring operations managers in Nashville include Oracle, Amazon, and Forward Air, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nashville's employer base skews toward large regional health systems, logistics and fulfillment operators, and hospitality groups with multi-site footprints across the metro.
Are there remote operations manager jobs in Nashville?
Yes, though operations manager roles are largely on-site by nature since they involve managing people, facilities, and day-to-day processes directly. About 0% of operations manager openings tied to Nashville are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with most of those concentrated in tech-enabled services, insurance operations, and back-office functions rather than logistics or facilities-heavy roles.
How can I get a operations manager job in Nashville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Nashville is through team lead or supervisor roles at distribution centers, hotel and venue operations groups, or regional healthcare networks, which regularly promote from within. Positions like shift supervisor, operations coordinator, or assistant manager at Nashville-area employers in logistics and hospitality build the direct people-management experience hiring managers want. Completing a lean operations or project management certification adds credibility for candidates without a formal management title on their resume.
Which industries hire the most operations managers in Nashville?
Most operations manager openings in Nashville sit in Food & Beverage, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nashville's role as a regional healthcare hub, combined with its growth as a logistics and distribution center and its large hospitality and entertainment economy, consistently drives demand across those sectors.
