Entry Level Operations Support Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level operations support specialist job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort with data entry or process coordination tools like spreadsheets and ticketing systems. Internship experience, coursework in business operations, or volunteer work managing logistics all strengthen an application. Tailoring your resume to highlight specific tasks you owned, even in academic or part-time settings, gives you a clear edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire entry level operations support specialists?
Companies hiring entry level operations support specialists right now include Amazon, Citi, and Optum, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from large enterprises with structured onboarding programs as well as mid-size companies where support roles carry real day-to-day responsibility from the start.
Are there remote entry level operations support specialist jobs?
Yes, though most openings at this level skew on-site or hybrid rather than fully remote. About 10% of entry level operations support specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who can commute to an office will find the widest range of opportunities while still having some flexibility options worth filtering for.
Are these new grad operations support specialist jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior operations support specialist roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or coursework in place of full-time history, or explicitly invites candidates with a portfolio of projects or transferable skills from a related field, rather than requiring a specific number of years in a direct operations role.
Which industries hire the most entry level operations support specialists?
