The Industrial Hygienist position at MaineHealth is a professional role focused on establishing and administering safety policies, procedures, and programs for Maine Medical Center and its subsidiaries. In this role, the Industrial Hygienist will be responsible for identifying and analyzing a wide range of safety and loss control issues, including life safety, hazardous materials, and industrial hygiene concerns. The position requires the ability to formulate effective solutions and communicate these recommendations clearly to stakeholders. The successful candidate will also be expected to implement approved safety measures and ensure that all safety training programs are effectively delivered to staff across the organization. This role is essential in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and patients at Maine Medical Center.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Physics or equivalent years of relevant experience required.
- License/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License required.
- Experience: One year of experience directly related to occupational health, industrial hygiene and safety required. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for formal education.

- Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Ability to plan, calibrate, set up and operate air pumps.
